Description
Juicy roasted chicken legs seasoned with mild garlic and herbs, baked until crispy on the outside and tender inside. A comforting, kid-friendly dinner made with simple pantry ingredients.
Ingredients
4 chicken legs
2 tbsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp dried rosemary
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, thyme, rosemary, salt, black pepper, and paprika.
- Coat the chicken legs evenly with the seasoning mixture.
- Arrange the chicken legs on the prepared baking sheet.
- Roast for 35–40 minutes until the skin is golden and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For crispier skin, place the chicken on a rack over the baking sheet.
Fresh herbs can be used in place of dried.
Letting the chicken rest helps retain juices.
Leftovers keep well in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
