Description

Crispy air fryer tofu nuggets paired with a creamy, savory-sweet peanut sauce, offering a quick and satisfying plant-based meal or snack with bold flavor and great texture.


Ingredients

1 block (14 oz) firm tofu, pressed and cubed

1/4 cup cornstarch

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup peanut butter

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon maple syrup

1 tablespoon lime juice

1/4 cup water

1 teaspoon sriracha (optional)


Instructions

  1. Cut the pressed tofu into bite-sized cubes.
  2. In a bowl, mix the cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and salt.
  3. Toss the tofu cubes in the cornstarch mixture until evenly coated.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Arrange the tofu in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  6. Air fry for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden.
  7. While the tofu cooks, whisk together peanut butter, soy sauce, maple syrup, lime juice, water, and sriracha until smooth.
  8. Serve the hot tofu nuggets with the peanut sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes

Pressing tofu helps remove excess moisture for better crisping.

A light spray of oil can be used for extra browning.

Store leftover sauce separately and stir before serving.

Reheat tofu in the air fryer to restore crispiness.
