Ingredients
6 cups bread cubes (slightly stale)
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 celery stalks, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
3/4–1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
1 tsp dried sage
1/2 tsp dried thyme
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (182°C).
- Place bread cubes in a large bowl and toss with melted butter until lightly coated.
- In a skillet over medium heat, sauté onion and celery with a small amount of butter until softened, about 4–5 minutes.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds, then remove from heat.
- Add sautéed vegetables to the bread cubes along with sage, thyme, salt, and black pepper.
- Gradually pour in broth while tossing, until bread is moist but not soggy.
- Transfer stuffing to the air fryer basket in an even layer without packing it down.
- Air fry for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden and crispy on top.
- Serve warm.
Notes
Slightly stale bread works best for texture.
Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket.
Fresh herbs can be added just before serving.
