Ingredients
1 lb lean ground beef (85/15 or leaner)
1 small onion, grated
1 packet onion soup mix
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 (12 ct) package Hawaiian slider rolls
6 slices Colby Jack cheese
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
4 tablespoons melted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ tablespoon everything bagel seasoning
Burger Sauce:
½ cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon pickle relish
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 teaspoon yellow mustard
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice Hawaiian rolls horizontally to separate tops and bottoms.
- Toast the cut sides under the broiler for 1–3 minutes until lightly golden, then place the bottoms on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Layer Colby Jack cheese slices over the roll bottoms and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix ground beef with grated onion and onion soup mix until combined. Do not overmix.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef mixture and cook for 3–4 minutes without stirring, then break apart and continue cooking another 4 minutes until browned. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and cook 2 more minutes.
- Using a slotted spoon, spoon the cooked beef over the cheese layer, leaving any excess grease behind.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar over the beef, then place the roll tops on.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter and minced garlic. Brush evenly over the tops of the rolls and sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, until the tops are toasted and the cheese is melted.
- While baking, whisk together all burger sauce ingredients until smooth.
- Let sliders rest 1–2 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with burger sauce for dipping.
Notes
Toast the rolls before assembling to prevent sogginess.
For a lighter version, substitute ground turkey or chicken.
Add diced jalapeños, pickles, or caramelized onions for extra flavor.
If the tops brown too quickly, cover loosely with foil during baking.
To make ahead, assemble and refrigerate until ready to bake.
Store leftovers up to 3 days in the fridge or freeze up to 2 months.
