Description

This Balsamic Vinaigrette is a quick, tangy, and perfectly balanced dressing made with balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey, and olive oil. It’s simple, fresh, and versatile—ideal for salads, roasted vegetables, or as a flavorful marinade for meats.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

1 tablespoon Dijon-style mustard

1 tablespoon honey

1/4 cup olive oil

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a small jar or bowl, combine balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Seal the jar tightly and shake vigorously for about 20 seconds, or whisk in a bowl until the dressing is smooth and emulsified.
  3. Taste and adjust—add more honey for sweetness or more vinegar for tang.
  4. Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. Shake or whisk again before each use.

Notes

For a vegan version, replace honey with maple syrup or agave nectar.

Add a minced garlic clove or pinch of Italian herbs for extra flavor.

Use a good-quality extra virgin olive oil for the best taste.

If the dressing solidifies in the fridge, let it sit at room temperature for 15–20 minutes before using.

Whisk in Greek yogurt or mayo for a creamier version.
