Ingredients
1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
2 cups whole milk
1 (5.1-ounce) box instant vanilla pudding mix
2 (14-ounce) cans sweetened condensed milk
4 ripe bananas, sliced
1 (8-ounce) container whipped topping
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Fresh banana slices, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the graham cracker crust by mixing graham cracker crumbs with melted butter. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie pan. Bake for about 10 minutes, then allow it to cool.
- In a large bowl, whisk together milk, sugar, and pudding mix until thickened, about 2 minutes.
- In another bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and whipped topping. Gently fold in the pudding mixture until fully combined.
- Slice bananas and arrange a layer over the cooled crust.
- Pour half of the pudding mixture over the bananas, smoothing it evenly.
- Add another layer of sliced bananas and the remaining pudding mixture.
- Cover the pie with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set.
- Before serving, top with whipped cream and fresh banana slices if desired.
Notes
Use ripe but firm bananas to avoid them turning mushy in the pie.
Make the pie ahead of time by preparing it the night before and refrigerating it overnight.
