Description

This Buffalo Cod Filet Sandwich features crispy breaded cod fillets with a spicy buffalo sauce kick, complemented by blue cheese dressing, fresh green leaf lettuce, and juicy tomato slices, all served on a soft sandwich bun. Perfect for a quick and flavorful family meal that combines a satisfying crunch with tangy, creamy flavors.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 High Liner® Signature Cuts® Crispy Breaded Cod Fillets
  • 4 sandwich buns, sliced in half
  • 4 pieces green leaf lettuce
  • 4 slices tomato
  • ¼ cup buffalo sauce
  • ¼ cup blue cheese salad dressing

Instructions

  1. Bake the Cod Fillets: Preheat your oven and bake the High Liner® Signature Cuts® Crispy Breaded Cod Fillets according to the package directions until golden and crispy.
  2. Prepare the Bun Base: Place one piece of green leaf lettuce on the bottom half of each sandwich bun. Add a slice of tomato on top of the lettuce to add freshness and moisture.
  3. Assemble the Sandwich: Place one crispy cod fillet on top of each tomato slice for the main protein element of the sandwich.
  4. Add Sauces and Finish: Spoon 2 tablespoons each of buffalo sauce and blue cheese dressing over the cod fillet to add spicy heat and creamy tang. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can adjust the amount of buffalo sauce and blue cheese dressing to suit your taste preferences.
  • For a milder flavor, reduce the buffalo sauce or substitute with a mild buffalo sauce.
  • Serving with extra celery sticks or carrot sticks pairs well with the spicy sandwich.
  • Make sure to bake the cod fillets as directed to ensure optimal crispiness.
  • For a healthier version, consider using whole grain buns or low-fat blue cheese dressing.
