Description

Fried Oreos are a decadent dessert combining the beloved Oreo cookie with a crispy, golden batter. These deep-fried treats have a warm, gooey filling and a crunchy exterior, making them a perfect indulgence for parties or a fun treat at home.

Ingredients

1 bag Oreo cookies

2 cups pancake mix

1½ cups milk

2 eggs

4 teaspoons oil (plus oil for frying)

Instructions

  1. Preheat a deep fryer to 375°F.
  2. In a bowl, combine pancake mix, milk, eggs, and 4 teaspoons of oil. Mix until smooth and free of lumps.
  3. Dip the Oreos into the batter, ensuring both sides are fully coated.
  4. Carefully place the battered Oreos into the deep fryer. Turn occasionally for even frying.
  5. Fry the Oreos for 2–3 minutes or until golden brown. Keep an eye on them to avoid burning.
  6. Once cooked, remove the Oreos from the fryer and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve immediately, and sprinkle with powdered sugar for an extra touch of sweetness if desired.

Notes

S’mores twist: Add crushed graham crackers into the batter or sprinkle on top.

Toppings: Drizzle with chocolate, caramel, or peanut butter sauce.

Gluten-free version: Use gluten-free pancake mix.

Stuffed Oreos: Stuff with peanut butter or marshmallow fluff before battering and frying.

Mini fried Oreos: Use mini Oreos for bite-sized versions.

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in an oven or air fryer to restore crispiness.
