Description

FROYO Banana Cream Bites are a refreshing and delicious frozen treat featuring ripe bananas layered with creamy frozen yogurt and a crunchy graham cracker crust, topped with white and dark chocolate chips. These bite-sized desserts are easy to prepare and perfect for a cool snack or dessert.

Ingredients

Banana and Yogurt Layers

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup plain or vanilla frozen yogurt

Graham Cracker Crust

  • 1/2 cup crushed graham crackers
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (optional, for graham cracker base)

Chocolate Toppings

  • 2 tbsp mini white chocolate chips or white chocolate chunks
  • 2 tbsp dark chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Muffin Tin: Start by preparing your mini muffin tin or silicone mold. Ensure it is clean and dry to easily release the frozen bites after freezing.
  2. Make the Graham Cracker Crust: In a bowl, combine the crushed graham crackers with melted butter if using, and stir until the mixture resembles wet sand. Press about a teaspoon of this mixture into the bottom of each muffin cup to form the crust layer.
  3. Slice the Bananas: Carefully slice the ripe bananas into thin rounds to fit nicely within the muffin cups and complement the layers.
  4. Layer the Frozen Yogurt: Spoon a small amount of frozen yogurt over the graham cracker crust in each muffin cup, spreading it evenly to create the first yogurt layer.
  5. Add the Banana Slices: Place 2-3 banana slices gently on top of the frozen yogurt layer in each cup, adding natural sweetness and texture.
  6. Fill with More Yogurt: Add more frozen yogurt over the banana slices until each muffin cup is full, ensuring a creamy consistency in every bite.
  7. Add a Chocolate Topping: Sprinkle the mini white chocolate chips and chopped dark chocolate evenly on top of the yogurt layer for added sweetness and flavor contrast.
  8. Freeze the Bites: Place the muffin tin or silicone mold in the freezer for at least 2-3 hours, or until the bites are fully firm and frozen solid.
  9. Serve and Enjoy: Once frozen, remove the bites from the tin or mold carefully. Serve and enjoy these delightful frozen yogurt and banana cream bites as a cool, tasty dessert or snack.

Notes

  • Using a silicone mold makes it easier to pop out the frozen bites once set.
  • For a stronger crust, use the melted butter with the graham crackers; otherwise, omit for a lighter option.
  • Feel free to substitute chocolate chips with your favorite nuts or dried fruit for variation.
  • Store leftover bites in an airtight container in the freezer to maintain freshness.
  • Allow bites to sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving for easier biting.
