Description

This simple and delicious Peaches and Cream recipe combines the sweetness of fresh peaches with the richness of heavy cream. The peaches are simmered in a light syrup and then mixed with cold cream, creating a refreshing and indulgent dessert that can be made ahead of time. Perfect for any occasion, this peaches and cream treat is sure to impress!

Ingredients

4 medium fresh peaches, or as needed

⅓ cup white sugar, or to taste

¼ cup water

1 ½ cups heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Cut each peach in half along the crease, twist open, and remove the pit. Peel and slice the peaches, cutting them into halves to get roughly 2 cups of sliced peaches.

  2. In a saucepan, bring sugar and water to a boil over medium-high heat. Boil until a syrup forms, about 3 minutes.

  3. Stir in the peaches until they are coated with the syrup. Bring the syrup back to a light simmer for about 1 minute. Immediately remove from heat and pour the mixture into a bowl to cool for 15-20 minutes.

  4. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the peaches to a large bowl. Discard the simple syrup or reserve it for another use.

  5. Pour the heavy cream into the bowl with the peaches and stir to combine.

  6. Divide the mixture between six serving glasses or bowls. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until completely chilled, at least 3 hours, allowing the cream to absorb all the peach flavor.
