Description

Peaches and Cream is the ultimate summer dessert that highlights the sweetness of ripe peaches, enhanced with brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon, then topped with a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream. This easy-to-make, indulgent treat is perfect for any summer occasion, offering a refreshing and delicious way to enjoy fresh peaches. It’s a quick, 25-minute recipe that delivers both comfort and joy in every bite.

Ingredients

1/4 cup brown sugar (packed)

2 tablespoons butter (cut into 8 pieces)

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (or more to taste)

4 ripe peaches (halved and pitted)

4 scoops vanilla ice cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. In a 9×13-inch baking dish, arrange the brown sugar in a mound, using 1/2 tablespoon of brown sugar per peach half.

  3. Place a piece of butter on top of each mound of brown sugar, followed by a sprinkle of cinnamon.

  4. Place the peach halves, cut-side down, on top of the brown sugar and butter mixture.

  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the peaches are soft and tender.

  6. Once baked, carefully turn the peaches cut-side up and spoon the caramelized sauce back over the peaches.

  7. Plate 2 warm peach halves per serving, and top each with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Serve immediately.

Notes

Spice Variations: Add a pinch of nutmeg or ginger along with the cinnamon for an extra layer of warmth and spice.

Grilled Version: Grill the peach halves instead of baking them for a smoky twist.

Vegan Option: Use coconut or almond milk-based vanilla ice cream for a dairy-free version of this dessert.
