4 ripe peaches (halved and pitted)
4 scoops vanilla ice cream
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
-
In a 9×13-inch baking dish, arrange the brown sugar in a mound, using 1/2 tablespoon of brown sugar per peach half.
-
Place a piece of butter on top of each mound of brown sugar, followed by a sprinkle of cinnamon.
-
Place the peach halves, cut-side down, on top of the brown sugar and butter mixture.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the peaches are soft and tender.
-
Once baked, carefully turn the peaches cut-side up and spoon the caramelized sauce back over the peaches.
-
Plate 2 warm peach halves per serving, and top each with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Serve immediately.
Notes
Spice Variations: Add a pinch of nutmeg or ginger along with the cinnamon for an extra layer of warmth and spice.
Grilled Version: Grill the peach halves instead of baking them for a smoky twist.
Vegan Option: Use coconut or almond milk-based vanilla ice cream for a dairy-free version of this dessert.
