Peep Ghost S’mores are a spooky twist on the classic treat, featuring layers of graham crackers, creamy milk chocolate, and toasted Ghost Peeps. Fun to make and perfect for Halloween parties, these gooey s’mores are sure to delight with their festive, ghostly charm.
Ingredients
Graham crackers, broken into squares
Milk chocolate bars, broken into squares (1 square per s’more)
Large marshmallows (Ghost Peeps)
Chocolate chips or candy melts (for ghost eyes)
Optional: Edible food marker
Optional: Butter or non-stick spray (for baking sheet)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to low broil, or use a toaster oven on low broil. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
- Arrange graham cracker squares on the prepared baking sheet and place one square of milk chocolate on each cracker.
- Shape the ghost marshmallows by cutting a small slice off one side of each marshmallow, creating flat surfaces. Press the flat sides together to form a wider ghost shape, and place on top of the chocolate.
- For the eyes: Melt chocolate chips or candy melts in the microwave in 20-second intervals. Use a toothpick to dot two small eyes on each marshmallow ghost and let set for a few minutes.
- Place the tray under the broiler for 30 to 60 seconds, watching closely, until the marshmallows are puffed and golden.
- Remove from the oven and cool for 1 to 2 minutes. Transfer to a plate and serve warm or within 30 minutes.
Notes
Use mini Peeps for bite-sized treats or a larger batch of s’mores.
Substitute dark chocolate for a richer flavor.
Sprinkle pumpkin spice on the chocolate for a seasonal twist.
For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free graham crackers.
Add a drizzle of melted chocolate or candy melts for extra sweetness.
