Description

These homemade Pumpkin & Carrot Cookies are a wholesome, nutrient-rich treat for dogs, soft in texture and packed with fiber and vitamins. Perfect for dogs with sensitive stomachs or picky eaters, they are easy to make and full of seasonal flavor.

Ingredients

1 cup oat flour

1/2 cup pumpkin puree (not pie filling)

1/2 cup shredded carrots

1 egg (optional)

1 tablespoon flaxseed meal (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix oat flour, pumpkin puree, shredded carrots, and egg (if using) until well combined. Add extra flour if dough is too wet.
  3. Roll dough into small balls, flatten with fingers or a fork, and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20–25 minutes until firm and lightly golden.
  5. Cool completely before serving to your dog.

Notes

Use rice flour or whole wheat flour instead of oat flour if desired.

Substitute pumpkin with mashed sweet potato or unsweetened applesauce.

Add a small sprinkle of cinnamon (safe in small amounts).

Mix in grated zucchini for extra nutrients.

Skip the egg and add more pumpkin to keep the dough together.

Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.
