Description

Sesame Noodle Salad features tender angel hair pasta tossed in a tangy sesame dressing with chili heat, crunchy vegetables, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. It’s a refreshing and flavorful dish, perfect for picnics or casual dinners.


Ingredients

1 (16-ounce) package angel hair pasta

½ cup sesame oil

½ cup soy sauce

¼ cup balsamic vinegar

1 tablespoon hot chili oil

¼ cup white sugar

1 teaspoon sesame seeds (or more if desired)

1 green onion, chopped

1 red bell pepper, diced


Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook the angel hair pasta for 4-5 minutes, until firm to the bite. Drain well in a colander.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, whisk together sesame oil, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, chili oil, and sugar in a large bowl until sugar dissolves.
  3. Toss the drained pasta in the dressing until well coated.
  4. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, chopped green onion, and diced bell pepper.
  5. Serve immediately warm, or cover and refrigerate for a few hours to serve cold.

Notes

Add Protein: Diced chicken, shrimp, or tofu make great additions for extra protein.

Spicy Kick: Add more chili oil or red pepper flakes for extra heat.

More Veggies: Add shredded carrots, cucumbers, or edamame for crunch and nutrition.

Gluten-Free: Use gluten-free soy sauce and pasta to make this dish gluten-free.
