Description
Sesame Noodle Salad features tender angel hair pasta tossed in a tangy sesame dressing with chili heat, crunchy vegetables, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. It’s a refreshing and flavorful dish, perfect for picnics or casual dinners.
Ingredients
1 (16-ounce) package angel hair pasta
½ cup sesame oil
½ cup soy sauce
¼ cup balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon hot chili oil
¼ cup white sugar
1 teaspoon sesame seeds (or more if desired)
1 green onion, chopped
1 red bell pepper, diced
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook the angel hair pasta for 4-5 minutes, until firm to the bite. Drain well in a colander.
- While the pasta is cooking, whisk together sesame oil, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, chili oil, and sugar in a large bowl until sugar dissolves.
- Toss the drained pasta in the dressing until well coated.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds, chopped green onion, and diced bell pepper.
- Serve immediately warm, or cover and refrigerate for a few hours to serve cold.
Notes
Add Protein: Diced chicken, shrimp, or tofu make great additions for extra protein.
Spicy Kick: Add more chili oil or red pepper flakes for extra heat.
