Description

These Strawberry Cinnamon Rolls combine the soft, fluffy texture of traditional cinnamon rolls with the sweet, fruity flavor of fresh strawberries. Topped with a creamy glaze, this recipe offers a delicious and comforting treat perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour

¼ cup granulated sugar

2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast

½ cup warm milk

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

½ teaspoon salt

1 cup diced fresh strawberries

⅓ cup brown sugar

1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened

2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and granulated sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.

  • Add melted butter, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture. Gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms.

  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  • Roll the dough into a rectangle. Spread with brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle diced strawberries evenly over the surface.

  • Roll up the dough tightly and cut into 8 rolls. Place in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for 20 minutes.

  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Mix powdered sugar, cream cheese, and milk to make a glaze, then drizzle over warm rolls before serving.

Notes

Frozen Strawberries: You can use frozen strawberries, but make sure to thaw and drain them well to avoid excess moisture.

Make Ahead: The dough can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated overnight.

Fluffier Rolls: Kneading the dough well and allowing it to fully rise helps achieve a soft, fluffy texture.

Storage: Store leftover rolls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.

Reheating: Reheat in the microwave for 20-30 seconds or in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes.
