Description
Tuna Tostadas are a light, refreshing dish made with albacore tuna, sweet corn, and fresh lime and cilantro. Topped with sour cream and hot sauce, these tostadas are quick to prepare and perfect for a summer meal or snack.
Ingredients
3 (5 ounce) cans solid white tuna packed in water, drained
½ (10 ounce) can sweet corn, drained
½ onion, finely chopped
1 bunch cilantro, finely chopped
2 tablespoons salsa
1 lime, juiced
Hot sauce to taste
Salt and pepper to taste
Sour cream, for topping
8 tostada shells
Instructions
- In a bowl, flake the tuna with a fork.
- Stir in the drained corn, finely chopped onion, cilantro, salsa, and lime juice. Season with hot sauce, salt, and pepper to taste. Mix well to combine.
- Spoon the tuna mixture onto the tostada shells.
- Top each tostada with a dollop of sour cream and extra hot sauce, if desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
Add sliced avocado for extra creaminess.
For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños or more hot sauce.
If you prefer tacos, serve the tuna mixture in soft or hard taco shells.
For a vegetarian version, replace the tuna with black beans.
