Description

Tuna Tostadas are a light, refreshing dish made with albacore tuna, sweet corn, and fresh lime and cilantro. Topped with sour cream and hot sauce, these tostadas are quick to prepare and perfect for a summer meal or snack.

Ingredients

3 (5 ounce) cans solid white tuna packed in water, drained

½ (10 ounce) can sweet corn, drained

½ onion, finely chopped

1 bunch cilantro, finely chopped

2 tablespoons salsa

1 lime, juiced

Hot sauce to taste

Salt and pepper to taste

Sour cream, for topping

8 tostada shells

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, flake the tuna with a fork.
  2. Stir in the drained corn, finely chopped onion, cilantro, salsa, and lime juice. Season with hot sauce, salt, and pepper to taste. Mix well to combine.
  3. Spoon the tuna mixture onto the tostada shells.
  4. Top each tostada with a dollop of sour cream and extra hot sauce, if desired.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Add sliced avocado for extra creaminess.

For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños or more hot sauce.

If you prefer tacos, serve the tuna mixture in soft or hard taco shells.

For a vegetarian version, replace the tuna with black beans.
