Ingredients
Kebabs
- 1.5 lbs Ground Beef
- ½ cup Grated Onion
- ¼ cup Chopped Parsley
- 2 tbsp Cowboy Butter Rub
- 2 tbsp Minced Garlic
- 1 Jalapeno, diced
- 1 Fresh Egg
Platter
- 3 cups Frozen Waffle Fries
- 1 White Onion, sliced
- 1 cup Cherry Tomatoes
- 10-12 Chile Peppers
Sauce
- 1 cup Melted Butter
- 1.5 tbsp Hot Sauce
Instructions
- Prepare the kebab mixture: In a bowl, thoroughly mix the ground beef, grated onion, chopped parsley, Cowboy Butter Rub, minced garlic, diced jalapeno, and fresh egg until fully combined to create a flavorful and cohesive kebab meat mixture.
- Shape the kebabs: Place a small handful of the kebab meat onto the middle of a plastic bag. Insert a wooden skewer on top, then fold the plastic bag over the meat and gently press it along the skewer to form an elongated kebab that evenly covers the skewer. Repeat this shaping process until all the skewers are formed.
- Assemble the skillet: Add the frozen waffle fries to a large skillet. Arrange the prepared kebabs on top, then scatter the cherry tomatoes, sliced white onion, and chile peppers around the skillet. Pour the melted butter mixed with hot sauce evenly over the entire skillet to coat all ingredients.
- Preheat the smoker: Heat your smoker to 350°F using Cowboy Charcoal to provide a smoky, rich flavor to the dish.
- Cook the kebabs and sides: Place the entire assembled skillet into the preheated smoker. Allow it to cook for 20-25 minutes, until the kebabs are fully cooked through and the waffle fries are tender and crispy.
- Finish and serve: Carefully remove the skillet from the smoker. Garnish the kebabs with additional chopped parsley for freshness and serve immediately, enjoying the smoky, spicy, and savory flavors together.
Notes
- Using a plastic bag to shape the kebabs helps in forming uniform, even kebabs without sticking to your hands.
- Ensure the smoker is properly heated to 350°F before placing the skillet inside for even cooking.
- Adjust the amount of hot sauce in the butter sauce according to your preferred spice level.
- These kebabs can also be cooked on a grill if a smoker is unavailable, though the smoky flavor will be less intense.
- Let the kebabs rest for a few minutes after cooking for juicier results.
