Description

This Spicy Mango Mocktail is a refreshing and vibrant tropical non-alcoholic drink that perfectly balances sweet mango juice, tangy citrus, sparkling water, and a spicy kick from jalapeño slices. Ideal for warm weather, backyard gatherings, or relaxing after a long day, this mocktail is easy to customize for sweetness and heat and comes together in just 10 minutes.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 oz. sparkling water
  • ½ oz. fresh orange juice
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 4 oz. mango juice (fresh preferred, but any will do)
  • 2-3 slices of jalapeño
  • Optional: 2 tsp agave syrup for extra sweetness
  • Ice, as needed

For Rimming

  • Lime wedges
  • Tajin seasoning

For Garnish

  • Lime slices or wedges

Instructions

  1. Prepare the shaker: Fill a cocktail shaker with a generous handful of ice to chill the ingredients effectively.
  2. Add ingredients: Pour in the sparkling water, fresh orange juice, lime juice, mango juice, jalapeño slices, and agave syrup if extra sweetness is desired.
  3. Shake the mixture: Gently shake the cocktail shaker until the contents are well mixed and thoroughly chilled.
  4. Rim the glass: Run a lime wedge around the rim of the serving glass, then dip the rim into Tajin seasoning to coat evenly for added flavor.
  5. Add ice to glass: Fill the prepared glass with fresh ice if you prefer your drink extra cold.
  6. Strain the drink: Strain the shaken mocktail mixture into the glass, ensuring a smooth pour without ice shards or jalapeño seeds.
  7. Garnish and serve: Garnish the drink with a lime slice or wedge and serve immediately to enjoy its fresh and bold flavors.

Notes

  • Adjust the number of jalapeño slices to control the spice level; remove seeds for milder heat.
  • Substitute frozen mango chunks and blend for a frozen version.
  • Use pineapple juice instead of mango for different tropical notes.
  • Replace sparkling water with lemon-lime soda or coconut water for varied flavor and sweetness.
  • Prepare juice mixture ahead but add sparkling water just before serving to keep fizz.
  • Store leftovers in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours; stir gently before serving.
  • Garnish options include fresh mango slices, jalapeño rounds, or Tajin sprinkle for visual and flavor appeal.
  • If Tajin is unavailable, salt or plain rims work well too.
